Although Rare, Homes with a Swimming Pool Can Be Found in Durango

But when all the snow melts away and the summer season here in beautiful southern Colorado is in full swing, there’s nothing more refreshing than taking a dip in your very own private pool, which although rare, can sometimes be found during an on-going home search.

It’s worth noting, however, that if you’re moving to Durango from out of town, swimming pools here can be somewhat impractical, even for the most avid swimmer. The soil around many parts of Colorado also isn’t ideal for in-ground swimming pools, as constant natural ground movements can also cause damage to the concrete and various other swimming pool components.

Some Durango neighborhoods offer community swimming pools already, leaving home owners free from the headaches a swimming pool in Colorado can cause.
