The first weekend of October brings about the annual Oktoberfest celebration. The day is filled with German food and local craft beer, with plenty of things for the entire family to do, including the popular brat eating competition.

The changing colors

There’s nothing that quite marks the fall season like the changing colors of the season. The peak time to watch the changing scenery is from early to mid October. One of the best ways to experience it is by taking a drive to Vallecito Lake or on the San Juan Skyway.
